Pawly vs Dogo vs Woofz

Three puppy apps. One knows your puppy.

Dogo and Woofz give you lessons, logs and a chat. Pawly gives you all three, built on a record of your puppy, plus camera checks neither of them lists.

Everything they do. Then everything they don't.

Pawly covers what Dogo and Woofz offer, and does it with his record in hand. Then it does things neither of them lists.

What they do

And how Pawly does it

  • Dogo · WoofzPrograms from a survey or a quiz

38 vetted plans for real owner problems, set up from his record.

  • Dogo · WoofzLesson libraries

Free lessons from real trainers, picked for his stage, with a Watch, Practice, Prove it track.

  • Dogo · WoofzA trainer reviews your video, or you rate skills yourself

Film a rep and Pawly checks it right away: did it count, and how long he held it.

  • Dogo · WoofzPotty, feeding and care logs

Two-tap logs that learn his rhythm and say when he'll likely need out next.ComingReminders

  • Dogo · WoofzWalk logs and a walk tracker

Walks drawn on a map, with pee and poop marked on the route, saved to his record.

  • Dogo · WoofzHealth articles, a wellness score, vaccine and weight tracking

A health check that puts urgent signs first, plus his vaccine card, vet records and growth in one place.

  • Dogo · WoofzA support chat, or a general AI assistant

Ask Pawly at any hour and get an answer about him, not dogs in general.

What Pawly doesn't have: one-to-one trainer sessions, or a built-in clicker and whistle.

One question. Three apps.

A question about barking, asked in each app's own chat. Only one of them knew who was barking.

Dogo "Ask a trainer"

Our team typically responds in the same day.

Ask a trainer

Woofz Dog Assistant

What are the effective ways to train a dog to stop excessive barking?

Effective ways to train a dog to stop excessive barking include understanding the reason for the barking, not reinforcing the behavior, practicing "Look" and "Come" commands in the presence of the stimulus, socializing the dog, and teaching them basic obedience. Additionally, for specific reasons such as attention-seeking, demanding food/play, fear, territorial behavior, and separation anxiety, there are detailed strategies for reconditioning the dog's behavior.

One generic paragraph. It asked nothing about the dog, gave no steps, and mentions "detailed strategies" without giving them.

That's excitement, not alarm, so don't answer it. For the next week, come in calm and wait for four paws on the floor before you say hi. Want me to start his Barking plan tonight? It's five short steps.

The technology

Built for dogs, not bolted on.

A general chat assistant answers about dogs in general. Pawly starts with frontier AI, then makes it specific to your dog: his record, our plans, our research and our own dog vision models.

  1. 01

    Frontier AI, grounded in him.

Pawly's assistant runs on frontier AI models. Before it answers, it reads his record: his age, his logs and his plans. Then it shows you what it read.

  2. 02

    Vetted plans and graded research.

His plans start from 38 vetted plans for real owner problems, and 694 graded research sources sit behind them and every safety line. Answers can show their sources.

  3. 03

    Dog vision we built ourselves.

Our 20-point dog pose model and dog-and-handler tracking measure speed, path and pose from one iPhone video. In the app today, film a rep and Pawly checks whether it counted and how long he held it.

  4. 04

Safety rules no prompt can talk it out of.

Health checks put urgent signs first. A fixed safety floor can only raise the urgency, never lower it, and every result says it isn't a diagnosis.

Side by side.

Pawly matches them row by row, then goes further. Where they have something Pawly doesn't, the table says so.

Dogo and Woofz features come from their App Store listings, websites and apps, checked 17 Oct 2026. "Not listed" means we didn't find that feature there. Pawly features marked Coming aren't in the beta yet.

How each one works.

Two apps built around lessons. One built around your puppy.

Dogo

Lessons, with a trainer checking your videos.

Dogo starts with a survey and sets up a program, such as potty training, biting or leash walking. Its library has 100+ tricks with in-house videos, plus a clicker, a whistle and care logs. Film a video exam and a Dogo trainer sends feedback. There's no AI assistant listed: questions go through a support chat, which sent help-article links first.

Pawly does this too: free trainer lessons picked for his stage, two-tap logs that predict his next potty, and a filmed rep checked. Plus an assistant that reads his record before it answers, at any hour.

Woofz

Lessons, care tools and a general chat assistant.

Woofz starts with a quiz and builds a plan. It has 150+ short lessons by its count, a behavior program, a wellness score, a walk tracker and a care calendar. Its "24/7 AI Assistant" is a general chat: asked about barking, it gave one generic paragraph, asked nothing about the dog and gave no steps. You rate skills yourself. One-to-one trainer sessions cost extra.

Pawly does this too: plans for barking, biting and chewing, walks on a map saved to his record, and a health check that puts urgent signs first. Plus answers about him, not dogs in general, and reps Pawly actually checks.

Pawly

One record of your puppy, and help that starts from it.

Pawly keeps a record of your puppy: his age, what you log, what you film and what you ask. Its assistant runs on frontier AI and reads that record before it answers. Each problem gets one plan, with a current step and a nightly check-in. The camera checks food bags, plants and filmed reps, and health questions put urgent signs first. Lessons come from free trainers on YouTube.

Coming Crate listening overnight, reminders, and form and timing tips on his reps.

What owners say they want.

Owners of puppy apps keep asking for the same four things. Pawly is built around them.

  1. 01

A plan for my puppy, not a template.

Advice that fits his age and his problem, and keeps up as he grows.

Pawly builds one plan per problem from his record, tracks the step you're on and keeps each night's check-in.

  2. 02

    Help at 3am, not tomorrow.

The hard moments happen at night, when there's no one to ask.

Ask Pawly answers on the spot, at any hour, starting from what it already knows about him.

  3. 03

    To try it before paying.

Owners want to see an app work for their own puppy before they commit.

Request an invite to the beta and try Pawly with your own puppy first.

  4. 04

    Easy to stop.

Plain prices up front, and a clear way out if it isn't for them.

Pricing isn't set yet. When it is, it will be in plain words, with nothing to hunt for when you want to stop.
