In plain words
- Pawly isn't a vet and doesn't diagnose. In an emergency, call your vet or an emergency animal hospital.
- AI can be wrong. Use Pawly's guidance alongside your own judgment and your vet's advice.
- The app is in beta. Things will change, and some may break.
- Your content stays yours. You let us use it to run Pawly for you.
- You can leave any time by deleting your account in the app.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover the Pawly app and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
[Counsel: contracting entity; whether Apple's standard EULA applies in addition or instead; acceptance mechanics in the app.]
Who can use Pawly
Pawly is for adults who look after a dog.
[Counsel: minimum age, and how it lines up with the App Store age rating.]
The beta
Pawly is in beta on iPhone through Apple's TestFlight. Features may change, move or disappear, and some may not work as expected. Apple's TestFlight terms also apply while you test.
[Counsel: beta feedback license; confidentiality, if any.]
Pawly isn't a vet
Pawly gives general guidance about dog health, behavior and training. It isn't veterinary advice, it doesn't diagnose, and it doesn't replace an exam, tests or treatment from a licensed veterinarian.
If your dog may be in danger, call your vet or an emergency animal hospital right away. Don't wait for Pawly. Don't make your dog vomit unless a vet tells you to.
You're responsible for decisions about your dog's care.
[Counsel: full not-veterinary-advice clause; how triage words such as "call your vet now" are framed.]
AI guidance
Many answers in Pawly are written by AI, using what you've shared and Pawly's research library. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important, especially about health, food or safety.
[Counsel: AI output disclaimer; reporting a bad answer in the app; named providers per the privacy policy.]
Your account
Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can sign in with Apple or with email.
Your content
Photos, videos, notes and messages you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them, and to send them to our service providers, only so we can run Pawly for you, as described in the privacy policy.
[Counsel: scope and duration of the license; use of de-identified data to improve Pawly, if any.]
Using Pawly fairly
- Don't upload anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to share.
- Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer Pawly.
- Don't use Pawly to harm an animal or a person.
[Counsel: full acceptable-use terms.]
Subscriptions
The beta is free to test. If Pawly offers a paid subscription, the price, length and renewal terms will be shown before you buy.
[Counsel, once pricing is set: auto-renewal disclosures; billing through Apple and cancelling in iPhone Settings; purchases made on the web and how to manage them; refunds; free trials.]
Other people's content
Pawly may show or link to content from others, such as trainers' videos hosted on YouTube. That content belongs to its owners, their own terms apply, and showing it doesn't mean they endorse Pawly.
[Counsel: embedding terms; trainer permissions.]
Our name and work
The Pawly name, logo, app and website belong to Project Pawly. Please don't use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
[Counsel: trademark status. Use "Pawly™" or no mark until a registration exists; never the registered mark.]
Ending your use
You can stop using Pawly and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
[Counsel: warranty disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnity. Pawly is a pre-launch beta, which should be reflected here.]
Governing law
[Counsel: governing law and venue, and any dispute-resolution terms.]
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app about significant changes.
